The ’24 Edit
Well, that’s a wrap on my first full year of business (with Rogue Weddings!), and guys, I have to say— I’M JUST GETTING STARTED!
This brand feels way more aligned with who I am and what I want to put out into the wild world of weddings. It’s so refreshing to connect with epic couples who share similar values and vibes! I hope to keep this brand a space for creativity, adventure, and self-expression.
That said, there’s been a lot to celebrate, too. I’ve got some international and interstate weddings on the books (no biggie), am currently bookings are rolling all the way out to 2027 (wild, right?), and even got invited to be part of the Theodore Mag Family! More and most importantly, though, I’ve met so many incredible people—adventurous, open-minded, and just all-around legends both in my clients and the industry.
Starting a business means figuring out your niche, and that takes time. One piece of advice that stuck with me is, “You attract what you put out.” So, I’ve been sharing more of myself online, hoping to connect with couples who just get it. And it’s been working—I’m finding my people <3
Over the past week, I’ve been reflecting on how much work I can realistically take on while still delivering the quality my couples deserve. For me, it’s never been about booking as many weddings as possible—it’s about ensuring every couple gets my full attention and energy. This reflection feels even more important after a year that came with its fair share of challenges. At the start of the year, I was navigating an eating disorder, and towards the end, I faced the loss of a close friend. These moments left me feeling unmotivated and disconnected from the work I usually can’t get enough of. Still, they’ve also taught me the importance of finding balance—for myself and for the couples I’m so lucky to work with <3
Looking ahead, I want to keep working with couples who are all about doing things their way—fearless, creative, and a little bit rebellious. Whether it’s saying your vows on the top of a mountain, dancing on tables until 2 a.m., or joy rides on the back of bikes with a bottle of champagne., I’m here for whatever you can dream up.
Thanks to my trusty sidekick for this wedding season (Red Bull), here’s to another year of doing the best bloody job in the world!
Much love,
Ell
